Independent pub · Guildford
The King's Head is on Kings Road in Guildford, close to London Road railway station. It describes itself as a friendly neighbourhood pub with an Indian twist, serving burgers, pies and curries. Beers typically include Gales HSB, Hogs Back TEA and Timothy Taylor Landlord. CAMRA says it was built about 1860 as two cottages that soon became a beer house, and the rear extension covers a well. There is a courtyard garden, a real fire and six big screens for free to air sport. Dogs are welcome, and weekly events include an open mic night, a Wednesday quiz and acoustic music.
