Hatch Gate Inn is a 16th century inn in Burghfield Village, Reading. It is a two-roomed, low-beamed pub with oak beams and a large open inglenook fireplace with original artefacts. Greene King beer is served; regulars include Abbot and Greene King IPA. The food is Indian and English, with separate Indian and British menus. Outside there is a large garden, ample parking and an enclosed play area for younger children. For sports fans, there is TV in the Sports Bar, and the pub is a member of the London Irish Supporters Club.
