Independent pub · London
The Grapes is a pub on Narrow Street in Limehouse, overlooking the Thames. It says it is one of the oldest pubs in London, with a history going back over 500 years. Charles Dickens was a patron and referred to the pub in his novel Our Mutual Friend. Pub grub, including what it calls its famous fish and chips, is served downstairs in the bar or on a heated riverside deck. There is a pub quiz, and no under 18s are allowed.
