The Cornerhouse is a mock-tudor freehouse at the bottom end of City Road in Chester, with bare brick and wood floors. It has four real ales, two of them changing and usually one dark and one pale, plus eleven keg lines and bottled beers. The venue says it also has wines, gin and craft beers. Food is platters, tapas and pizzas, with roast dinners on Sundays. Live music is downstairs in the main bar, and there is a weekly quiz night.
