The Blind Beggar

Independent pub · London

About the pub

The Blind Beggar is a pub on Whitechapel Road in the East End of London. The pub was built in 1894 on the site of an inn established before 1654. It is notable as the former brewery tap of the Manns Albion brewery, where the first modern Brown Ale was brewed. CAMRA describes it as a large, well decorated one bar pub. The beer range includes lagers and craft ales, and the pub says it updates its lineup regularly. It says its decked pergola garden has a heated outside bar with seating, and that it won a best outdoor and smoking area award. Pizza by Marco is served.
