Independent pub · London
The Barrowboy & Banker is a Fuller's pub at Borough High Street, near Borough Market and London Bridge. It is a bank conversion that opened in 1996, with very tall ground floor windows, pale marble columns, a very high ceiling with gold plasterwork and a sweeping staircase up to a curved gallery. Portraits of old bankers hang on the walls. The pub says it serves fresh ales, craft beers, a seasonal menu and pies. It is listed as the first branch of NatWest Bank, with many features kept. Dogs are welcome, and families are too.
