Independent pub · London
The Barley Mow is on Duke Street in Mayfair, London. The pub calls itself a landmark Mayfair pub, with a ground-floor bar and a first-floor restaurant. It is a corner pub rebuilt in 1896 that was the Japanese Ambassador's residence before the First World War. A full-length bar takes centre stage, serving cask ale; the Allsopp's IPA is served regularly, and changing beers typically include Fuller's London Pride and Purity Mad Goose. The restaurant serves a French take on British classics. Live music plays every Wednesday and Thursday.
