Independent pub
Auld Chimp is a pub at 2 Station Bridge in Urmston, which calls itself an authentic Irish pub inside the town's old railway station. The original 1872 railway building reopened in 2025 after years of neglect and now holds an oak panelled bar, a balcony for live music and a beer garden. The pub promotes Guinness, live music and live sport on big screens. Food includes a bar menu and a Sunday roast, served from Friday to Sunday, and a pintxos menu for buffets.
