Independent pub · Liverpool
The Albert is on Lark Lane in Liverpool and describes itself as one of the city's most historic pubs. This Grade II listed Victorian building was commissioned in 1873 for Cain's Brewery, and its Gothic style is unusual for a pub. CAMRA rates its interior as of special national historic interest. Many rooms surround a central bar, under an ornate high Victorian ceiling. Three changing beers are listed, and the pub says it serves craft beer and gins, including some local brews. Live entertainment is on Friday and Sunday evenings, and dogs are welcome.
