The Sportsmans Arms is on Prenton Road East in Tranmere, Birkenhead. The pub opened in 1933 to replace an older Sportsmans pub on the same site. Cask ale is served, with three changing beers usually from the Marston's range, and the pub is a Cask Marque venue. It says it has a great community spirit and is family friendly. Sky Sports is shown on its ten TVs, and there is a dartboard, a pool table, a garden and live music. Dogs are welcome, and there is step-free access and an accessible toilet.
