Independent pub · Edinburgh
The Royal Mile Tavern is a narrow bar at 127 High Street, on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh's Old Town. It calls itself a traditional Scottish public house and says it stocks over 100 different whiskies. The changing real ales are usually from Scottish microbreweries, with Orkney and Stewart among those typically seen. Draught and bottled beers sit alongside wine and spirits. A small raised seating area at the rear is used for eating, and pub grub is on the menu. Live music plays every evening. Children are welcome until 8pm, and dogs are allowed in the bar area only.
