Oxton Bar & Kitchen is an independent family owned bar and restaurant in the Oxton Village conservation area of Birkenhead. It says it has been going since 2004. The bar pours cask ales from local microbreweries alongside craft beers, and regulars include Brimstage Trapper's Hat Bitter. The building is a former John Smiths pub built in 1969, now a single room lounge bar with an outside seating area. The kitchen serves seasonal, locally sourced fresh food. There is regular live music, and the pub is very dog friendly.
