Jolly Carter is a JW Lees pub on Worsley Road in Eccles, Manchester, which calls itself a cosy community pub. The bar stocks cask ales such as Manchester Pale Ale and JW Lees Bitter, along with draught lagers and cider. Food runs from slow braised steak and ale pie to beer battered fish, with a roast on Sundays. Live sport is shown on big screens, and there is pool, darts and a quiz night. The pub says its name is a tribute to the local carters who relied on inns for rest and refreshment. It also has an events space.
