Independent pub · London
The Hop Poles is a Grade II listed pub with a granite-faced frontage on Hammersmith's high street, dating from 1857. CAMRA records its interior as of special national historic interest, with Victorian bar-backs, etched mirrors and ornate ceilings. An island bar serves the ground floor. Four handpumps generally offer Sharp's Doom Bar and, not always, a changing ale, and a Lilley's cider may occupy another. The pub says it has a great selection of lagers, beers and cask ales. The menu focuses on pizza, tapas, burgers and sharing plates. It shows sport on HD screens, has a roof terrace and holds a Thursday quiz.
