Hand & Shears Public House is on Middle Street, Cloth Fair, in Smithfield, London. The pub gives its date as 1532 and calls itself Smithfield’s only historic Grade 1 listed pub. It is next door to St Bartholomew’s. The bar says it is famous for real ales and craft beers, including Camden Lager and a house beer brewed specially for it by Portobello Brewery. Seasonal local beers and ciders are often available, along with bar snacks, including pork pies the pub calls award winning. An upstairs function room can be booked for private hire.
