English Lounge is a pub at 64-66 High Street in Manchester's Northern Quarter, right next to the Arndale Centre. It calls itself a proper pub offering a brilliant array of drinks, and real ale is served. Inside, the open plan room is divided by structural pillars, with an L-shaped bar, table football, a dartboard and a pool table. There is live music and sport on a big screen, plus comedy and open mic nights. Outside is a terrace, and the pub is dog friendly. A space with its own rooftop terrace is available for private hire.
