Independent pub · London
The Dickens Inn stands on Marble Quay in St Katharine Docks, London, five minutes from Tower Hill and Wapping Tube stations. The pub describes itself as a restyled and reconstructed 18th century pub, and says the building's original wooden structure was retained and preserved. Downstairs is the Tavern Bar, with pub favourites such as fish and chips, while Poplars Restaurant upstairs has a balcony and views. There is outside space on a terrace and a flower-bedecked balcony, looking over the dock towards Tower Bridge. Well behaved dogs are welcome in the Tavern.
