Independent pub · Newcastle Upon Tyne
City Tavern is a pub at 10 Northumberland Road in Newcastle city centre. It says it was established in 1923 in a historic Tudor facade building and calls itself award winning. It serves cask ale, with seven changing beers: three house beers plus guests from the North East and elsewhere, often including vegan options. The multi-floored pub has a terrace off the upper floor, an outdoor cinema area called Cinema Paradiso, and Ruperts, which is described as the world's smallest bar and is available for private hire. Dogs and children are welcome if well behaved, and sport is shown on TV.
